Yankee Boy Basin Waterfalls

Yankee Boy Basin Waterfalls offer numerous opportunities. The falls are best photographed with cloud cover or while the sun is not blasting the white falls.  Flower blooms in July can be spectacular with indians paint brush, bluebells, and columbine. They make great foregrounds for falls, the photos are very difficult to pull off unless it is absolutely calm in order to get the flowers sharp and the waterfall silky smooth. Some photographers may like the effects of wind blown flower in the foreground, depends on the artistic impression

All of our images are taken with professional equipment, pro D-SLR bodies and lenses. These camera bodies have sensors designed to maximize image quality and the lenses produce the sharpest images. We use these tools to produce RAW image files. RAW images are similar to negatives or positives (slides) from the days of film. RAW files give photographers the ability to create images based on their interpretation of the scene.
